Prime the coil, pour down the inside wall, stop at the line, then wait before the first puff.<\/p>\n<h2>What you need first<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A charged device with a <strong>fresh or already-primed coil<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The right e-liquid for your coil \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/vapesubzero.com\/en\/product-category\/freebase\/\">freebase<\/a> for sub-ohm e-shisha devices, <a href=\"https:\/\/vapesubzero.com\/en\/product-category\/saltnic\/\">salt nic<\/a> for small pods<\/li>\n<li>A tissue, and clean dry hands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 1 \u2014 Prime a new coil before anything else<\/h2>\n<p>This is the step that gets skipped, and skipping it is what burns coils on the first puff.<\/p>\n<p>Put <strong>three to five drops<\/strong> of e-liquid directly onto each exposed cotton window on the side of the coil, and one drop down the centre. The cotton should look wet, not soaked. Only then fit the coil into the tank.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2 \u2014 Open the fill port<\/h2>\n<p>Most e-shisha tanks fill from the top: slide or twist the top cap off. Some fill from the base through a rubber plug. If yours does not open with light pressure, you are turning the wrong part \u2014 never force it.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3 \u2014 Pour down the inside wall<\/h2>\n<p>Tilt the tank to roughly 45 degrees and run the liquid down the <strong>inside glass wall<\/strong>. Never pour straight down the middle.<\/p>\n<p>The central column is the airflow chimney. Liquid that goes down it does not reach the cotton at all \u2014 it goes into the airflow and out of the bottom of your device, which is the single most common cause of a &#8220;leaking&#8221; tank.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4 \u2014 Stop at the maximum line<\/h2>\n<p>Fill to the line and no further. The air gap above the liquid is what keeps it in place: it holds the vacuum that stops liquid seeping through the coil. Overfill and you remove the vacuum.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot see a line, leave roughly two to three millimetres of clear space at the top.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5 \u2014 Close it, then wait<\/h2>\n<p>Seal the cap firmly \u2014 firm, not forced \u2014 and wipe any liquid off the threads.<\/p>\n<p>Then leave the device standing upright for <strong>five to ten minutes<\/strong> on a new coil. The cotton needs to absorb liquid fully before it meets heat. Vaping a dry coil for even two seconds gives you a burnt taste that no amount of refilling will remove \u2014 at that point the coil is finished.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 6 \u2014 Two or three primer puffs<\/h2>\n<p>Before pressing the fire button, take two or three puffs with the device <strong>off<\/strong>. This pulls liquid the rest of the way through the cotton.
