A coil usually lasts one to two weeks depending on how heavily you vape. The clearest sign it is finished is a burnt taste or an obvious change in flavour, often alongside less vapour or a tighter draw. Sweet and dark flavours wear a coil out faster than light ones.
The most common reason is not waiting after filling. Once the coil is fitted and the pod is filled, wait 5 to 10 minutes so the cotton can saturate fully before the first puff. The second reason is running the device above the wattage range printed on the coil, and the third is chain-vaping without a pause between puffs.
Every device takes a specific coil or pod number and nothing else will work; the number is printed on the device box and on the coil itself.
