Proper activation steps
Make sure the device battery is fully charged before heading out.
Gently insert the tobacco stick (Terea or Heets) straight into the holder with the filter facing up. Do not twist or rotate it.
Press the power button and wait until the device vibrates or the light becomes solid, indicating it has reached the required heating temperature.
Usage guidelines
Take slow, long, and steady puffs. Avoid strong or rapid draws to maintain consistent tobacco flavor.
Never move or rotate the stick during use to avoid damaging the heating blade (on older models).
Once the session ends and the device turns off, remove and dispose of the used stick, then allow the device to cool before the next use.
How do I fix a red light or an unresponsive device?
Most red-light or unresponsive issues on an IQOS device are solved with a reset: hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the lights go out and the device restarts. Also check that the charging port is clean and use the original cable and adapter.
What causes a change in taste or a tight draw?
On older IQOS models, a change in taste or a tight draw is usually carbon build-up, so clean the blade regularly with the tool provided. Also make sure you are using TEREA sticks with ILUMA devices and HEETS with the earlier models, to avoid damaging the heating system.
Why does the device get noticeably hot?
The device usually gets hot from back-to-back sessions without letting it cool down, or from long, hard draws. Let it cool a little between sessions and use gentle puffs to keep the temperature stable.
