Types of Vape in Kuwait: Which One Should You Buy?

Last reviewed: August 2026

In short: four families cover almost everything sold in Kuwait. Pick by how much effort you want to put in, not by which looks best — that is the honest deciding factor.

Type Best for Effort
Disposable Trying vaping, or a backup None
Pod system Daily use, coming off cigarettes Low
Mod and tank Big clouds, full control High
Heated tobacco Wanting real tobacco, not e-liquid Low

1. Disposables — zero setup

You buy it charged and filled, use it until it stops, and replace it. Nothing to clean, nothing to refill, nothing to learn.

Suits: anyone trying vaping for the first time, or wanting something for a weekend without carrying bottles.

The catch: cost. Per day of use, disposables are the most expensive way to vape by a wide margin. They make sense as a starting point or a spare, not as a permanent habit.

Browse disposables. Popular ranges include Air Bar and Lost Mary.

2. Pod systems — the sensible default

A small rechargeable device with a replaceable pod or coil, filled from a bottle. This is what most people settle on and stay with.

Suits: anyone moving off cigarettes. The draw is mouth-to-lung, which is the same motion as smoking, and it runs on salt nic at a strength that actually satisfies.

Running cost: a pod or coil every one to two weeks, plus liquid. Far cheaper than disposables within the first month.

Browse pod systems. The PHIX guide covers one of the simplest to live with.

3. Mods and tanks — control and clouds

A larger battery with adjustable wattage and a sub-ohm tank. Direct-to-lung, dense vapour, and full control over how it performs.

Suits: experienced users who want to tune things and do not mind maintenance.

The catch: it is a commitment. You will be changing coils, watching resistance, and getting through freebase liquid several times faster than a pod user. It is also the wrong first device — the low nicotine strength it needs will not satisfy someone who has just stopped smoking.

Browse devices.

4. Heated tobacco — a different thing entirely

IQOS and similar devices heat a real tobacco stick rather than vaporising e-liquid. No tank, no coils, no bottles.

Suits: people who want tobacco taste and find e-liquid flavours unconvincing.

Watch for: stick and device compatibility, which is where nearly every wrong purchase happens. The IQOS guide covers which sticks fit which device.

Choosing in one question

How much do you want to think about it?

  • Not at all → disposable, or heated tobacco if you want real tobacco
  • A little, for a much lower cost → pod system. This is the right answer for most people.
  • I enjoy the tinkering → mod and tank

Two mistakes worth avoiding

Buying a mod as a first device. It looks like the serious choice, but a 3 mg freebase through a big coil will not satisfy someone coming off cigarettes, and the maintenance puts people off within a fortnight.

Buying the liquid before checking the coil. Strength and type are decided by the device, not by preference — see salt nic vs freebase before you order.
